Valley Meats

From the paddocks of the Meander Valley to your family table.

At Valley Meats, we believe great beef starts long before it reaches the plate. It begins with good country, strong genetics, careful management, and a genuine connection to the land.

Nestled in Tasmania’s beautiful Meander Valley, our family farming operation has been built around a passion for raising quality Angus cattle and producing beef we’re proud to put our name behind.

Known for fertile soils, rich pastures, and a cool climate, the Meander Valley provides an environment naturally suited to producing exceptional livestock and quality agriculture.

We’re proud to call this region home and proud to be part of a community producing some of Tasmania’s finest food.

Family farming has always sat at the heart of what we do. Agriculture in Tasmania is built on families who care deeply about their land, livestock, and local communities, and those same values continue to guide our operation today.

Built Around BarnettAngus

At the centre of our operation is BarnettAngus.

Through years of breeding and careful selection, we’ve focused on developing Angus genetics that deliver more than performance in the paddock. Our focus has always been on marbling, structural quality, temperament, fertility, and exceptional eating performance.

Every breeding decision has one purpose — producing a consistently better product and beef we’re proud to feed our own family.

We believe quality beef isn’t accidental. It comes from years of knowledge, careful decisions, and attention to detail.

A Full Life on the Farm

What also makes Valley Meats unique is the story behind many of the animals selected for our meat packs.

Many have already lived a full and productive life within our breeding program. These mature Angus females have raised calves, contributed to future generations, and played an important role in shaping our herd before eventually becoming part of our beef program.

We believe there is something meaningful in that journey. These animals have spent years on quality Tasmanian pasture contributing to the farm long before becoming part of the food we share.

Combined with Angus genetics, maturity, and careful selection, we believe this creates a depth of quality and flavour that reflects the care invested throughout their lives.

Supporting Local Tasmanian Agriculture

Valley Meats was created to bring people closer to where their food comes from and strengthen the connection between farming families and the people enjoying the product.

Supporting local agriculture means supporting family farms, regional communities, and the future of Tasmanian farming.

From our paddocks in the Meander Valley to your family table — welcome to Valley Meats.
